A study on the participation needs of retirement preparation education program of local education officials

Abstract

|
This research conducted a survey targeting 326 teachers with age of 40 years old and above living in Daegu City and Gyeongbuk province. The factors of their satisfaction of current occupation, the intimacy with the family members, the social life and the expectation of retirement were used to find out the effects on the participation needs of retirement preparation education program. The results of analysis are as follows. First, The general characteristic of teachers had no differences in participation needs of retirement preparation education program. Second, the social life affects significantly the expectation of retirement but the factors of closeness with the family and the satisfaction of job have no significant effects on the expectation of retirement. Third, satisfaction of occupation has no significant effect on the retirement preparation education program.
